Flash Fiction Friday: No Lifeguard On Duty
June 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Flash Fiction Friday is our monthly themed short fiction/poetry and trivia contest.
This month’s theme: No Lifeguard On Duty
The sea is choppy, the sun is dipping below the horizon, and it’s time to break out a different kind of beach read. There’s no guard either in the tall chair, or in your imagination. After the contest, we’ll have themed trivia questions all about what’s lurking in the deep.
Sure, you can tell a tale, but can you do it in a FLASH? Time to prove it!
Tell us a story using no more than 150 words. Each writer will read their piece aloud (or get a friend to do it for them) and the audience will vote for their favorite. Winner gets bragging rights and the envy of their peers, so bring it!
After the readings, you have another chance to win! Test your topical knowledge with our interactive, multimedia trivia quiz, featuring photos, songs, quotes, and more. The trivia questions are based on our theme of the month, and we always include questions about writers!
The first 15 writers to submit their completed Flash Fiction Friday piece will be in the lineup to compete in the virtual event on Friday, 6/18/21 @ 7 pm.
Submit your piece here: https://forms.gle/d7iKcffDeobiT3fy5
Pieces must be submitted by 5 pm Friday.
Remember, your piece must be no more than 150 words. No exceptions.
Only one submission per writer.
FFF IS ALL ABOUT THE FUN. Keep it sweet and light. No politics. No religion. And don’t kill any dogs.
