July Writing Opportunities: Don’t take the summer off

Lazy Fascist Review
Lazy Fascist Review is planning a special “Lovecraftiana”-themed issue, pairing the Bizarro genre with the themes commonly used in Mythos fiction. Deadline: 07/01/2015.

Fairy Tale Review Awards in Poetry and Prose
Fairy Tale Review is seeking submissions for its second annual contest.  The winners of the prose and poetry contests will each receive $1,000, and all submissions will also be considered for publication in “The Ochre Issue.”  Deadline 07/15/2015.

Narrative’s 7th Annual Poetry Contest
In a continuing effort to encourage and support talented poets Narrative is seeking submissions for its annual poetry contest. First prize is $1,500.  Deadline: 07/20/2015.

New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2015
The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center is seeking submissions for its 34th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2015.  Deadline: 7/24/2015.

JCW Fantasy Fiction
JCW is accepting fantasy fiction submissions for its August literary reading.  All subforms of the genre are accepted, including dark fantasy, fairytales, high fantasy, magical realism, sword and sorcery, urban fantasy or any other fantasy subgenre. Deadline: 7/25/2015.

Circlet Press Anthology
Circlet Press is seeking erotic stories for an anthology titled, “Journey to the Center of Desire: Erotic Retellings of Jules Verne Like a Spell: Erotic Stories of Wizards.” Deadline: July 31, 2015.
