JCW is seeking nonfiction with an intoxicating twist. True tales of terrible tequila, regrettable rum and wicked wine are welcome. We are looking for memoirs, essays or any nonfiction piece saturated in saki or drowning in drambuie. Think of your first sip of dad’s PBR, your worst hangover ever, or your journey with the Twelve steps.
Articles, journal entries, letters — any nonfiction form — will be considered. Keep your true story around the general theme of alcohol and serve it up!
Selected works will be read at our Blackout! literary event on June 22nd and published on jerseycitywriters.org.
- 800 words max
- Attachment must be doc or rtf
- NO PDFs
- Unpublished works only
- Only alcohol-themed nonfiction will be considered
Send submissions to JCWgenrenight@gmail.com by 12 am ET on June 6.
